Welcome to the Black Diamond traning module which covers the pulse process for standard positive pulse MWD systems.

The module introduces the following topics:

• Key components of the the Pulser and Bottom End/ Lower End
• Theory of operation of the Pulser and Bottom End/ Lower End
• Controls on the quality and size of pulses
• Poppet and Orifice selection

The course should take no longer than one hour to complete and is followed by a short test. To gain credit for the course, all slides must be viewed and the test passed.
