This module is an advanced level competency unit designed to provide a comprehensive overview of all aspects of drilling failure analysis. It is intended as a guideline for the elements required to be implemented to promote best-in-class service quality through the development of a comprehensive troubleshooting and failure analysis culture.This training module covers all aspects relating to the most common failure modes when running downhole directional drilling tools, although technology specific elements of the training are intended to be more directly complimentary to Tensor Drilling Technologies. Elements covered include pre-run and surface checks and equipment, downhole failure conditions during the run, and post-run checks and workshop practices relating to failure investigation and analysis. The module concludes with elements relating to the development of a robust failure analysis process, root cause analysis and key aspects of reporting relating to the topic.The course is split into eight sections and will take no more than 4 hours to complete. Short tests follow most sections and the tests may be re-taken. The material can be re-accessed at any time and the training does not need not to be completed in one sitting.Successful completion of all tests is required to gain credit for the training course.
